Out of the (Voice) Box, presented on July 25, 2026, is a chamber voice concert featuring performances by N.E.O. Voice Festival Scholars and Fellows: established artists who are featured throughout the Festival; as well as faculty and special guests. Past concerts have included wide-ranging sets and performances, from classical arias to folk songs, barbershop quartets to voice & electronics sets, experimental voice projects to jazz standards, and much more. Leah will sing Return from My Body’s Black and Blue by Niyayesh Bagheri.
N.E.O.’s Exploratorio is an annual concert that premieres a new major work written and performed by N.E.O. composers and singers. Leah will be a featured soloist and section leader in her role as a vocal fellow in this August 1st, 2026, concert.
N.E.O.’s eighth Exploratorio will focus on the expansiveness of life transitions from physical death to the shock of renewal to the overturning of a philosophy. Every death creates room for new life, just as every life thrives on death. The end of a relationship with a life partner, business partner, or friend, moving to a new place, or leaving behind a beloved hobby all embody the transitional energy that forges our identities. In the expansiveness of time, none are memorable. The very idea of "At The End Of All Things" speaks to humanity's limited perspective. Yet, in those limits lives our passions and feelings of purpose.
